Containment
Lids, gaskets, O-ring glands, drip edges, cable glands, hose barbs and valves — keeping water, air and dust where they belong. Every model draws its leak path: the route water would take if the seal were absent, cut where the seal crosses it. Nothing on this shelf has been pressure-tested; each page says what its numbers are and are not.

- C5-17Shinyerpan adapter, 304 SS: G1/4 female × ¼″ NPT male, with washers. One body, two seals (farm boom record, ordered 2026-07-28).
Spray mix crossing from the NPT gauge port into the G1/4 sensor.
- C5-18Worm-drive band clamp, Ideal / Tridon family. Series number not re-read. The closer for C5-03.

Spray mix, inside→out.
- C5-20Cam & groove, thread pair: Type A male adapter × female NPT, Type D female coupler × female NPT. Same standard, from memory.
Same fluid, into an NPT port such as a valve or a tank.
- C5-21Cam & groove dust cap, Type DC (female cap over a male adapter). Same letter memory.
Rain, dust, and leftover spray. Cap keeps weather out of an open line.
- C5-22Banjo-style manifold flange: two polypropylene faces, elastomer gasket, stainless clamp. SKU not re-read. Size I chose: ¾″, from C5-01, not from a stated hose ID.
Spray mix in a full-port boom joint, air outside.
- C5-23Bauer-style lever coupling (HK memory); general irrigation-hose and 6″ line variants, coupling type unselected
Water (irrigation), inside→out. Not the spray boom.
- C5-24Barbed insert adapter for IPS polyethylene laterals, two clamps. US ag insert family; brand not selected. Frost mainlines are named and unbuilt.
Water for frost sprinkling, inside the PE tube.
- C5-25Dixon King-style combination nipple plus a double-bolt spiral clamp (Dixon Boss family). Memory, catalog not opened. Suction side of the Hypro 9303S-HM1C. Inlet size not stated — I did not guess it. Pump itself is out of scope.
Spray mix or water under suction. Air outside trying to get in.
- C6-01Nozzle-tip gasket seat; TeeJet AIXR11003 air-induction flat fan and cap; QJ363C body reference, cap drawing not opened
Spray mix through the tip; air is supposed to enter the venturi. Liquid must not leave the air holes.

- C6-17TeeJet QJ363C triple-head body. Named in farm boom record. Internal seal drawing not opened. I am not treating the "C" as proof of a diaphragm check (that is C6-02).
Spray mix, one indexed head live, two shut, air outside.
- C6-18Backpack trigger shutoff. Brand not stated. Solo, Chapin, and Field King appear only as examples of a second sprayer, not as the unit on hand. Mechanism I chose: spring plunger, soft seat.
Spray mix: glyphosate potassium salt, clopyralid MEA, AMS plus surfactant (farm backpack record). Not fuel.
- C6-19Banjo-style polypropylene bypass regulator. Model not re-read and not in the boom file. I added it because a centrifugal held near ~55 PSI needs a bypass; that is my inference.
Spray mix. Bypass returns to the tank.
- C6-20Mazzei-style venturi injector with a suction-port check. Model and motive PSI not re-read. Fertigation is a planned job; no injector is named (farm reservoir record).
Motive water; sucked solution (fish nutrients, filtered — filter not specified).
- C6-21Impact sprinkler, arm and spoon. Families I mean: Senninger or Rain Bird. No model — none is selected.
Water, thrown out. Bearing must not pour.
- C6-22Traveling gun, Nelson Big Gun family (memory of the name). Model not selected. farm reservoir record says "a traveling gun", one gun not two.
Water at the gun.
- C6-23Three-outlet manifold, Banjo flange stack (C5-22 repeated three times) plus one inlet. Boom has 3 sections. Port size I chose: ¾″.
Spray mix, one inlet, three section outlets.
- C6-246″ resilient-seat wafer butterfly. Family I mean: Watts-style, series number not re-read. I chose it for the other-site 6″ line (C5-23). No valve is named there.
Water.
- C6-25Sluice gate: a board lifted in grooves at a flume's end, metering water under it onto a wheel. Peirce Mill's overshot flume, c. 1969 (HABS DC-22 sheet 15: the gate in its frame at the flume's lip, a rod and ring to lift it); the mill gate of Evans 1795, art. 73 ("the gate is drawn about 12 inches behind the perpendicular"). Added 2026-10-17 for Peirce Mill round 2
Water in an open flume, held back from the wheel; what passes goes UNDER the board, in proportion to its lift. Not C7-17's stop-log, where the water goes over a fixed board
- C7-01Flanged single-hole tank bulkhead; Banjo-style flange, gasket and nut; proposed 300 gal tank application, outlet size/material unstated
Spray mix at atmospheric head, air outside. I do not put boom ~55 PSI on this tank. The file never says the tank is pressurized.
- C7-02Bolted two-flange liner penetration; Agri Drain-style boot, Firestone pond-flange reference; brand unselected, RPE/HDPE liner context
Stored water against sand. Seepage is the enemy.
- C7-03Filter-bowl O-ring closure; Banjo-style polypropylene T-strainer, Pentair Pentek bowl reference; boom location speculative
Spray mix; screen holds solids.
- C7-04Curved-wall saddle seal; Hayward saddle reference

- C7-11Backpack screw cap and lid gasket. 4 gal tank. Brand of the tank not stated. Failure is in farm backpack record: lid gasket compressed or worn.
Spray mix inside (glyphosate salt, clopyralid MEA, AMS/surfactant, alkaline cleaner). Air outside.
- C7-12Fill-neck wetting basket, 20- to 35-mesh. The backpack file records the glyphosate label's instruction (label §7.0 in that file). No brand.
Solids out of the fill. Not a pressure seal. Spray mix is poured through it.
- C7-13TeeJet slotted tip strainer behind the AIXR tip. Mesh for this farm: not stated. I am not picking 50 vs 100.
Spray mix, last screen before the orifice.
- C7-14AG Spray #83250 diaphragm gauge isolator. Named in farm boom record. Diaphragm section not opened.
Spray mix on the boom side. Gauge side must stay free of spray. Fill fluid: not stated. Do not call it glycerin — glycerin is the Phase-1 gauge.
- C7-15Suction screen can, Hypro or Banjo line strainer, on the inlet of C6-08. Mesh not stated.
Spray mix or water; keeps solids out of the pump. Air must not enter.
- C7-16Slide-in forebay screen. No brand. I chose a sliding frame because the file says a sediment forebay "that can be cleaned out" and draws no detail (farm reservoir record).
Runoff solids vs reservoir water. Not a watertight seal.
- C7-17Raceway stop-log: a board in a slot at the quiescent outlet. I chose the board because the file requires that zone and a place to take solids, and draws no weir. Water depth kept ~2.5–3.5 ft so velocity still cleans (farm reservoir record).
Water over the board; solids held behind it. This row interrupts solids, not water.
