Grabs
Printed parts that hold onto something you did not make — a motor face, a pail, a fan, a hose. The rule for every row: at most four numbers, each a tape across the thing.
25 of 29 rows are built. The rest are the catalogue, in order.
- G1-01NEMA 17 face mount
31.0 mm square M3 pattern and a Ø22 pilot recess — the face every stepper-driven part bolts to
- G1-02A Raspberry Pi board
A foot or cradle that holds the board by its outline. The hole pattern is adopted once the outline says which board. It is not a measurement.
- G1-03A square frame fan
A well or clamp on the frame. Not a filter clip.
- G1-04A box fan and a furnace filter
A clip that pins the filter to the fan. This is the four-tape rule.
- G1-05A laptop, closed
A stand that holds it by the outside. Not a map of the underside.
- G1-06That laptop's power brick
A cradle around the brick.
- G2-01A 5-gallon pail
Printed parts that stand in the pail and clear its wall and lid. A water-scrubber's demister is the worked case.
- G2-02A 32 oz paint-mixing cup and its lid
A pod on the bought lid, or a skirt over the rim. Not a snap designed from the bead.
- G2-03A metal paint can with a friction lid
A hook on the rim. Speculative: no project names one.
- G2-04A bucket-lid gasket
A ring that captures the gasket. Speculative.
- G2-05A Gamma Seal lid on that pail
The stack has to clear a screw lid, which the snap-lid height does not.
- G2-06Gridfinity, one row
One base or one bin. Not a catalogue. The scope test is only half met: the thing named is a standard, and the bins are usually printed.
- G2-07A rectangular storage tote
A clip on the rim. Speculative. No project.
- G3-01A shop-vac hose cuff
A printed port the cuff plugs into. Finding 17 changed which end is male.
- G3-02PVC pipe
A socket or saddle on the outside.
- G3-03Copper water tube
The same, a saddle on the outside.
- G3-04PEX tube
A sleeve on the outside.
- G3-05A garden hose
A sleeve on the hose body, or a jaw across the fitting flats.
- G3-06EMT conduit
A saddle on the outside.
- G3-07Round duct or a rigid hose adapter
A sleeve on whatever outside the tape says. The scrubber file shows 3 inch and 4 inch duct were assumed, then thrown out. Those sizes are not measurements.
- G4-01As-ripped 2x
A jaw that accepts the ripped thickness. Not a second stud jig. Joinery already has that jig.
- G4-0223/32 ACX plywood
A slot or edge clip sized to the sheet, not to the name. Speculative as a printed part: the loft file uses the sheet as structure. I did not find a printed grab there.
- G4-03S4S 1x board
A jaw on thickness and width. Speculative.
- G4-04A thinner sheet, ½ inch class
The same slot as G4-02, for a sheet that is not the 23/32. Speculative.
- G4-05A broom handle
A clip or ferrule on the round.
- G4-06A hardwood dowel
A bore or a clip on the round. Speculative.
- G4-07A tape-measure body
A cradle around the case.
- G5-01Seed cell plate
A plate whose rim cells each hold exactly one seed of a measured lot, for a plate meter; one keyed centre so every crop's plate is interchangeable (
assemblies/seed-meter/BRIEF.md) - G5-02Plate meter floor
The plate's pocket, the drop port, a spring-dog cutoff riding the plate and a knocker over the port — the singulation
